This is lake Oeschinensee near Kandersteg. We had great weather, perfect weather, but I can only recommend anyone to go here one day. Its quiet, very quiet, no mass tourists, nobody really, apart from a small simple hotel (or two) at the side.

The Morocco Store in Bermondsey last weekend. We had a nice pub lunch at the Garrison around the corner.

Brick Lane

I love Brick Lane. Last weekend we went all the way down brick lane up to Shoreditch and onto Kingsland Avenue and back. It was a nice walk. Brick Lane had the usual vibe about it. There was a great indoor food market which was just closing down after a long day of business and we got some dishes at discounts. Then further down we stopped by at the very traditional old jewish Bagel bakery where I had a Bagel, an apple danish and a tea, altogether for less than 4 pounds. There are still cheap places about, you just have to find them. I took this picture at a Bangladeshi sweet shop.

Big rings

It does not really come out that well but these onion rings were huge. Posted by Picasa

Catching your feet

The problem with a wide angle lense is that it easily captures your feet while shooting. Well, I did this intentionally, but it makes a point. Posted by Picasa

Epping Forest

This was Epping Forest today after a few heavy downpours. It's the first time I have been to a forest for a very long time. I have really missed it and it reminded me of back home. The smell of the earth, the smell of the plants, the sight of the trees and the sound of the birds. There is nothing better.
