Vacqueyras

Holidays are just so much better when the sun is shining. This is the tiny village of Vacqueyras in the south of France

More out than in

Sometimes when it is holiday season and there is not much happening in the office, you find that there is more going on outside. I wonder what these guys think about their work environment:

They hang suspended around 190 meters high above the ground with the sun shining in their faces and a breeze of summer fresh air. But is the air that fresh? Is it really? All the time? Well certainly not when there is a huge paper warehouse burning down about a mile away. This warehouse has been burning since last night and is apparently continuing to burn until the weekend:

N70 quality

We went to South Bank yesterday to have sushi for lunch. Afterwards we saw a fantastic free Photography of the Year exhibition just outside the London eye. There were some really good pictures on display. I took this picture with my new phone (Nokia N70) which has a 2MP camera built in. This means I can get rid of the 5 year old 2MP Canon IXUS camera I got Sun, as the quality is pretty much the same and works well for point and shoot purposes. Posted by Picasa

Light beam

On the topic of light I have found this picture. Not a very good picture either because there is nothing in particular you would focus on or that is of interest. But I thought you'd like it Mr Lord because it has obviously some light as well as a reflection. Posted by Picasa

Rocket scientist!

Today I went to Canary Wharf and took this picture. I like the symmetry in it although maybe the lower bit is not quite 100%. Later I edited it with some basic effects available in not Photoshop CS, not Photoshop Elements, but Picasia! Yes Picasia can also help add some basic enhancements. So here is my blog of the day. I went to Richmond today and watched the England Portugal game in my favourite pub on Richmond Hill, the Roebuck. Richmond park was very pleasant too and I might post some pictures later.
